Robin Ciotti, Ph. D

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

Robin is a Maryland licensed psychologist serving children, adolescents, adults and families in my private practice.

I graduated from George Mason University with my doctoral degree in clinical psychology in 2007, and I have worked in private practice in the Baltimore area since 2008.

My clinical foundation includes work with diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, affording me broad familiarity with mental health issues and treatments. I maintain a general practice with several areas of treatment specialization.

I have advanced training in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, which allows me to understand the interplay between one’s learning style and emotional conditions. I sensitively work with adults and children with varied learning disorders. I regularly consult with families on child behavior management and parenting.

My postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt developed my expertise in treating complex and persistent eating disorders. I frequently receive referrals for clients with typical and atypical eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and negative body image. I often work with families to develop strategies to support eating disorder recovery, or to prevent the development of eating disorders in children/adolescents. When mental health conditions are severe, I am able to provide recommendations about the necessary level of care, or whether hospitalization is necessary.

I enjoy teaching and providing educational workshops to the community on mental health and developmental issues. I have served as an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University teaching courses ranging from physiological psychology to personality theory and child psychopathology.
