Lindsay Glaeser, LCPC

LICENSED CLINICAL PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR

Lindsay comes to us from Johns Hopkins Community Psychiatry Clinic, where she, for 7 years, was the senior therapist and curriculum designer for the Intensive Outpatient Program.

Lindsay has been licensed since 2009, and has extensive experience with complex child and adult cases. Prior to her work at Hopkins, she provided home-based and school-based therapies to children and adolescents in Baltimore City, which honed her skills working with children and collaborating with families to improve child mental health, behavior management, and school performance.

Lindsay is particularly skilled in working with clients presenting with: anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, self-destructive behaviors, grief, life transitions, chronic medical conditions, and low self-esteem. She prioritizes the therapeutic relationship, and her patients report that she has an easy way of connecting and is a compassionate listener. She pulls from a variety of modalities including: CBT, DBT and existential psychotherapies.

Lindsay describes her style as practical and good-humored, and she is invested in providing tangibles to her clients that they can draw upon and practice between sessions to facilitate growth. Lindsay sees being a therapist is a privilege, and she values getting to know patients deeply and then using that acquired knowledge to help someone heal themselves. “There is nothing more beautiful and rewarding than that.”
